“I love the wilderness, the quiet, and serene, sometimes harsh, beauty of the Adirondacks. The projects we’ve done there express what it means to be a landscape architect: designing places for people that exemplify understanding and respect for the environment.”

The place I visit most is the Adirondacks. I love the wilderness, the quiet, and serene, sometimes harsh beauty. I have spent a lot of time there over the years whether hiking, skiing, kayaking, biking, swimming, or just relaxing. Several years ago, I built a get-away home near Whiteface Mountain which my family and I use to relax and enjoy nature. Our firm has done many projects there which allow us to express what it means to be a landscape architect: designing places for people that exemplify an understanding and respect for the environment whether it be a trail, nature center, or resort.

“These are truly good people. The best of the best when it comes to designing veteran’s cemeteries. It was considered normal for them to drive five hours just to answer our questions and their patience and service were exemplary.”

— Angelo Romeo, Director of Gloucester County Veterans Affairs
