The crack of dawn, a pink sky. A silhouette comes thundering past. It leaves nothing but silence and steam behind. The Oklahoma Training Track is where the the world’s most celebrated thoroughbred racehorses train each morning during the annual meet at the Saratoga Race Course.
In 2013, to commemorate the Saratoga Race Track’s 150th birthday, the Whitney Viewing Stand was built to re-connect today’s visitors with a view originally experienced 150 years ago.
The LA Group, in collaboration with architectural design firm Phinney Design Group, identified an opportunity to restore this iconic piece of history.
