Lead by Example.
Reduce environmental footprint. Create a culture of sustainability. As one of the top community colleges in the SUNY system, SUNY Orange set a goal to offer programming that will prepare graduates to succeed and lead within environmental professions and become a resource to those eager to learn about sustainability.
The LA Group worked with JMZ Architects on developing a master plan to accommodate soaring enrollments at the college’s Newburgh branch campus. The new L-shaped Kaplan Hall creates an outdoor campus plaza atop its adjoining underground parking garage through a 1-acre green roof. The project has been called the single most important advancement since the founding of the college by college president, Dr. William Richards.
